One of the most important things that you will need to do as soon as you bring your new puppy home is reductil 15mg start to train him to go to the toilet outside. Of course this is not something that he is going to be able to achieve overnight as he will have to learn bladder control and which places are acceptable for relieving himself.
Start by putting his little dog kennel into a dog play pen. At this stage a plastic kennel is probably best as they are light and therefore easy to move from room to room and they are also very easy to clean by hosing them out. Kennels are useful aids to house training as by nature a dog will not want to soil the place that it sleeps. Start off by keeping him in his playpen area with lots of fun dog toys, rather than giving him the run of the house. This is because he will then see the playpen as being close to his bed and part of his territory and won’t want to urinate near it. Place some puppy pads as far away from the kennel as possible and encourage him to use them.
Also make sure that you take him outside at regular intervals for half an hour at a time so that he has the opportunity to relieve himself somewhere that you consider acceptable. Make sure that you give him loads of praise if he does go to the toilet outside. To try and guarantee that he will need to go to the toilet when you take him out make sure that you feed him about half an hour beforehand.
Don’t get cross with him if he has accidents as, just like children, dogs take a while to get used to this new concept. You will soon find that he is well enough trained that you can introduce him to his outdoor kennel with dog exercise pen attached and he will transfer his new found skills to the outdoors.
