Do your own Gelert tent? Do you have an idea of how to pitch it properly? If you don’t, this short guide can be very useful to you. This can also help others who are beginners in the camping scene. Erecting a tent of this brand is actually very easy if you just follow these simple steps. The first thing that you need to do is find a huge and wide space where you will place your tent in your camping destination. After that, you must clean up the area by taking away all the objects that you find in the area such as pieces of wood, plastic cellophanes and rocks.

Once you are done, you must now get your Gelert tent out of your backpack and all the needed equipment that goes along with it such as poles and flysheet. Now it’s time to place the screened tent on the ground. Make sure that the floor is faced downwards. You must now setup the long poles of the tent by attaching the two types of ferrules. You will notice each of the poles is linked together with the use of chords. This means that they would fit in one stroke. For large tents, three main poles are used but for small tents, only two main poles will be used.

The next thing that you should do is to locate the grommets at the bottom part of the Gelert tent. Put the smaller pole there. Look for the poles of the tent and attach the clips there. As for the large poles, they must be placed on the doors sides. In order to setup the tent’s body, you must attach the clips to the pole. In case your tent is the large one, you must look for the middle portion of the tent and put the pole there. Look for the tips of the pole and connect them at the grommets then attach the clips to the pole. Take a walk at the border of the tent. With the use of a hammer, pummel one stake for every ground loop.

After that, get the flysheet and hang it over the body of the tent. Once this is done, you must turn the fly around. Keep doing this until the tent body finally matches the tent door. Connect the flysheet base to the tips of the poles. Lastly, look for loop which can be found on the flysheet’s door and pull it up you must then stake your camping tent to the ground using a hammer.
